Operations Shift Lead

Position:
Shift Leads provide operational support to all staff and Guest Services support for all Guest. Shift Leads will provide leadership to the entry level team members, assist in internal communication, and de-escalate issues and concerns as they arise. Shift Leads also monitor floor operations to provide accurate and effective implementation of staff, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Guest Service
Actively monitor Staff and Guest interactions to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction daily
Exercise friendly and professional interactions to both Guest, coworkers, and other employees of all levels
Provide Guest Recovery as needed
Provide consistent and constant training and coaching to Staff as needed
Ensure general operation is ready to provide high levels of service and be able to anticipate Guest needs
Operations
Plan and monitor the execution of all state and company mandated breaks and /or lunchesfor staff
Have working knowledge of all exhibits in order to perform the job andprovide coaching to employees as needed
Implement and execute cash handling procedures including but not limited to issuing
starting day funds, cashing out staff, dealing with point of sale issues
Ensure safety of all Staff and Guest on company property following outlined procedures andidentifying any risks and concerns as needed or they arise
Assist with all operational needs as required or given
Management
Role model all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
Provide accurate and consistent communication to all team members
Ensure staff are adequately trained and held to all latest standards of operations
Efficiently lead staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the company
Coach and document staff members for performance fairly and as needed
Evaluate staff members on performance quarterly with a follow up by a Manager
Participate in the interview process for new entry-level staff members when the time arises
Acknowledge and recognize all staff members for performance when appropriate
Complete other tasks, projects, or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred
1-2 years of experience in a support role, preferably in a nonprofit or customer service environment
Experience working in an educational institution desired
Strong organizational and data entry skills with attention to detail
Basic knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact positively with members and staff
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work setting
Experience in guest services, events, or the hospitality industry is advantageous
