Description

The Rochester Athletic Club is seeking a self-driven individual to work as a full-time Front Desk Lead. This RAC associate will share the position with another lead alternating their schedule weekly so there is a front desk leadership presence seven days a week. Both leads provide the highest level of customer service to our members and guests as well as supports the Front Desk Team. The successful candidate must lead by example providing good customer service as well as working with and helping train associates. The Front Desk Lead is responsible for successfully maintaining the overall secure daily operation, including weekly and monthly duties as required.

  • Maintain supplies and manage inventory.
  • Responsible for cash drawer reconciliation.
  • Responsible for Front Desk items such as: Current Info Book, Reference Book, MOD Book, Extended Guest Passes, RAC Perks and RAC member forms.
  • Communicate new processes and suggestions to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Enforce member and guest policies in a courteous manner.
  • Strong communication with Operations Director to ensure the most efficient, error free member experience possible.
  • Help supervise team members performing Front Desk duties as required, including: greeting members, answering the telephone, saying goodbye, and performing guest transactions.
  • Performs duties required of all Front Desk staff as well as maintaining a leadership role. Assist members and guests with issues and complaints, with empathy and a focus on member and guest satisfaction.
  • Point person for all things associated with the Front Desk including shift coverage and works closely with staff to ensure high-quality of customer service.
  • Assist with Front Desk staff recruiting and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:College or Associate degree preferred or equivalent training/experience

Required Knowledge:Knowledge of basic RAC Front Desk processes and expectations

Experience Required:Two to three years of RAC experience preferred

Skills/Abilities:High level of customer service communicating effectively

Leadership skills and experience

Excellent listening and comprehensive skills required

Solid analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities

Project management and organizational skills

Able to work well independently

Able to assist, direct, and coordinate others

Excellent computer and typing skills are required
