Process Improvement Manager

Role description:
The Process Improvement Manager drives a rapid and continuous improvement culture by coaching others, leading improvement teams, identifying improvement opportunities, analyzing data, and helping to drive data-based decision-making. This role's primary responsibility is to improve plant performance.
Responsibilities:
Coach and lead multi-disciplinary project teams
Help implement a culture of continuous improvement in the plant
Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Become the plant expert regarding all relevant data sources and statistical analyses
Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities
Minimum skills / qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
Five (5) years of experience using various improvement methods and tools
Self-motivated and passionate about process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to motivate and develop others
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in analytical software (i.e. JMP or Minitab)
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Prior experience with group applications such as SAP and Business Warehouse
