Taro develops, manufactures and markets prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products primarily in the United States, Canada and Israel.

Responsibilities:

The Taro Internship Program will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable experience that will integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. The Interns will work on projects with a global scale across various departments. The experience will go beyond the assigned internship position and include formal, ongoing training and development opportunities, formal presentations, and community involvement opportunities to further the students development.

  • Create social media content (video and stills) under the direction of the manager
  • Assist with performance management tracking measurements, analyzing results and recommending changes for improvements
  • Community management and social listening assistance
  • Assist with College Ambassador Program (discovering new college ambassadors,
  • shipping their products from the office, putting together welcome boxes, and overall
  • concept improvements)
  • Assist Social Marketing Creator with some low lift content creation
  • Conduct competitor analysis
  • Report on the latest social media trends and how they can be altered to fit the Proactiv
  • Brand
  • Assist with publishing content on all social channels
  • Assist Community Manager with Surprise & Delight send out
  • Discover new opportunities for Influencer collaboration and partnerships

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors, or masters degree programs
  • Ability to work in Hawthorne, NY for 10 weeks (June 3rd August 9th)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrated leadership in academics, community services and/or extracurricular activities
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as on a team
