The Vice President of Digital Design will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for overseeing and guiding the creative direction and operational execution of our digital design projects. This role will require a deep understanding of user-centric design principles, emerging design trends, mobile-first and native app design, and the ability to inspire and mentor a team of talented experience designers.

The role also has responsibility for Accessibility Design, Content/Copy writer, and User Research. You will make an impact by:

Provide strategic leadership in digital design, defining and driving the design vision within the digital organization and across the larger organization, including groups in IT and marketing. Ensure alignment between design and business objectives.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of digital designers and design leaders, fostering their growth and creating a collaborative and innovative design culture. Nurturing a growth mindset by creating continuous learning and training opportunities.

Develop and implement design strategies that enhance user experience, user interface, and product design, ensuring consistency and excellence across all digital platforms. Constantly reassess processes, deliverables, and methods, constantly evaluating evolving design best practices, skill sets and knowledge areas, tools, org design, and frameworks.

Advocate for a user-centered design approach, ensuring that products are intuitive, visually appealing, and meet the needs of our target audience.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure design goals align with business objectives.

Manage the design department budget effectively, making resource allocation decisions that align with strategic goals.

Manage relationships with external design agencies and vendors when necessary, ensuring high-quality design deliverables. Evaluate and manage use of design tools and services.

Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of

digital design

experience with strong expertise in mobile design

Strong track record of delivering from concept to production digital experiences for large consumer audiences.

Previous experience working in a large organization with multiple lines of business.

Previous experience with direct responsibility for design system.

Previous experience working in a highly technical environment with including CMS and DAM.

Strong knowledge of current digital technologies, and standards, including HTML5, CSS3, and WCAG 2.x, as well as iOS and Android platform standards.

Proven experience in digital design, UI/UX, and design leadership roles.

A strong portfolio showcasing a track record of successful digital design projects.

Expertise in design software and tools as well as Agile practices

Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

A strategic mindset with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.

Strong project management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Knowledge of current design trends and emerging technologies.

Ability to work Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)
