Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications We have 8 Labor and Delivery Rooms 3 triage rooms 2 Operating Room suites where the primary nurse is responsible to circulate the Cesarean Sections. We have 4 High Risk Suites and 24 Postpartum Suites. In addition to this we have 9 private NICU rooms. We use Centricity (CPN) for charting fetal monitor strips and all care and assessments on the mom, and Sunrise (SCM) for all orders, labs, and barcode scanning. We use Voalte phones to communicate with the physicians and other team members. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of RN Labor & Delivery experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Indiana state license One year of Epic experience NRP Certification Fetal monitoring Certification and experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
