We are looking for a friendly and professional experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our vibrant entertainment industry team. As a Human Resource Generalist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive work environment for our employees. With your exceptional interpersonal skills and knowledge of HR best practices, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of HR activities to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Responsibilities

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, documentation and performs periodic audits of HR files/records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

Assist the HRIS Analyst with managing and updating HR databases

Act as primary backup for payroll processing, including updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, PTO/sick pay, Concur/Accounting, employee verifications, and benefits changes

Provide guidance and support to applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management

Organizes and manages new hire orientation

Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties

Implement and administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Conduct investigations and mediate employee relations issues, providing resolution and maintaining a positive work atmosphere

Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations

Support the HR team in various HR projects and initiatives, including policy development and implementation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals

Assist with leave of absence process and guide employees

Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field preferred
  • At least 2-3 years of human resources experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and talent management systems
  • Proven experience working as an HR Generalist or similar role with in-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
