Driver Trett USA Inc. and Diales provide consultancy, dispute resolution and commercial services, including construction and engineering claims for delays, additional costs, disputed additional work and other relevant issues to international engineering and construction companies, owners, engineering companies, financers, insurers, and clients.

Driver Trett USA Inc. and Diales provide Expert Witness services throughout the Americas and further, in a number of dispute forums include Litigation, Arbitration, Dispute Boards and Mediation.

The role

We are keen to appoint an ambitious and driven Planning Engineer, Project Scheduler, or a Delay Analyst to join our expanding Driver Trett and Diales teams in New York City, USA and become part of our growing success.

The key duties will involve (but not be limited to):

  • Assist with the preparation of delay and damages related to construction and engineering projects
  • Assist with the preparation of graphical evidence
  • Assist with the preparation and defense of contractor claims
  • Assist with the preparation of substantiation and support of claims for delay and damages
  • Assist with the preparation of expert reports and evidence
The suitable candidates should meet the following criteria
Essential
  • A minimum of 5 years professional construction industry experience as a construction scheduler, project controller, project manager or construction related engineer.
  • A Construction or civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining construction schedules or managing project accounts.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office and Primavera P6
  • Demonstrable understanding of the various principles of delay analysis.
  • Demonstrable understanding of construction and engineering contracts.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Presentable and articulate.
Desirable
  • Professionally qualified or on route to professional qualification.
  • Experience in preparation of delay claims, management of disputes and demonstrable ability in assessing the time impact of Compensation Events is preferred.
  • Site based experience with a well-established contractor, sub-contractor, consultancy or client.
