We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advancement Communication Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that support our advancement goals, including fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement. This role requires a creative communicator with exceptional writing skills and a passion for storytelling.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to support fundraising campaigns, donor relations, and alumni engagement.
  • Create compelling content for various channels, including newsletters, social media, websites, speeches, and annual reports.
  • Collaborate with the advancement team and other key departmental and university personnel to identify and highlight key stories, achievements, and milestones.
  • Manage and update content on the organization's website and social media platforms to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

  • Assist in planning and executing events that promote donor and alumni engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices in advancement communication.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in communications
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
