Job Overview:
The Director of Commercial Sales is a key leadership role within our client's organization, a global leader in the biotech industry specializing in instruments, measurement systems, and software for biological and environmental research. This remote position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for spearheading the development and management of a commercial sales team to drive sustainable and rapid growth of the commercial business. The role involves maximizing potential revenue from existing accounts, identifying new commercial opportunities, developing OEM relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets through effective strategy and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a dedicated commercial sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.
Maximize revenue from existing commercial accounts and develop new commercial opportunities.
Establish and nurture OEM relationships to expand the Total Available Market.
Develop and implement sales and support strategies with defined metrics to achieve revenue targets.
Lead the technical sales process and the development and execution of sales strategies.
Manage daily sales operations, including technical support and pricing strategies.
Conduct market assessments and identify opportunities for market development.
Ensure compliance with export regulations and manage international logistics for sales and support.
Requirements Include:
Education:
BS or equivalent in a relevant field; MBA highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum five years in sales or sales management within the environmental or life science sectors.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in sales management and market analysis.
Certifications:
N/A
Knowledge:
Essential knowledge of environmental instruments, with training provided.
Key Competencies:
Integrity, ethics, self-motivation, teamwork, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
