Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Risk Manager to join our Risk team. The Market Risk Manager will be responsible for analyzing and communicating the company's risk exposure, including commodity positions, profit, and loss (P&L), and risk metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commodity markets and be able to identify and manage market risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the risk reports process, perform market risk analytics, and provide professional risk assessment to Senior management.
  • Assist with implementing the risk limits, position and P&L reporting, and other risk metrics such as Greeks (i.e., Delta/Vega) and Value at Risk.
  • Analyze and report on the company's risk exposure, including commodity positions, P&L, and risk metrics to target audiences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management policies are being followed.
  • Conduct stress tests and scenario analysis to identify potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk models to assess market risk exposure.
  • Assist in the development of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Act as key risk liaison with front and back office as well as headquarters department in regard to various market risk-related issues.
  • Facilitate the development and monitoring of remediation action plans for risk breaches and events when they occur.
  • Supervise and lead the market risk team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant education
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the risk control area
  • 3 + years of supervisory experience
  • Strong, hands-on technical, quantitative risk analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy while working toward challenging goals and deadlines
  • A strong team player with demonstrated experience collaborating with others and managing teams effectively
  • Ability to see the big picture, to motivate and inspire the other team players, and to work under pressure
  • Profound knowledge of risk models, financial instruments, and data management
  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is preferred
