The Campus Logistics Specialist provides support and assistance to the manager of campus logistics and business services administration department. Bringing excellence to all aspects of work and providing exceptional service, this position works directly with multiple departments, including Campus Logistics, Chief Operating Officers office, Department of Public Safety, Planning, Operations, and Construction, University Events, and all six schools of the University. The Campus Logistics Specialist ensures a seamless and professional environment conducive to world-class service and high achievement. Serving as the first point of contact for colleagues and guests, as well as communicating on behalf of the division and University, this position employs hospitality, organization, and efficiency. This position is proactive and responsible for the timely administration of routine processes, as well as the overall function of the dynamic office environment. The Campus Logistics Specialist embodies and helps establish a model workplace culture that promotes Pepperdines mission, vision, and strategic plan; pursues excellence in every aspect of its work; promotes collaboration and unity; attracts, engages, and retains the best employees; and honors each individual team member, among others. Duties Planning and Logistics: Assist and collaborate with University stakeholders, including schools and event-hosting departments, on event logistics for events, fundraisers, receptions, luncheons, conferences, and other similar gatherings designed to promote and maintain the University's mission and vision. Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments, outside vendors, and volunteer groups. Responsible for reviewing and ensuring all phases of campus logistics are thought through and communicated appropriately. Develop and maintain a system to track all University events to ensure seamless coordination among all on-campus events. Parking: Coordinate and monitor parking reservations for the Malibu campus. Inputting details into the University's Event Tracker and appropriately communicating with various stakeholders about reservations. Review, track, and respond to parking permit exception request forms. Plan and coordinate annual parking permit distribution to the Pepperdine community. Campus Events and Coordination: Assist with needs for special campus events, ensuring the highest level of service and spirit of excellence at all major University events. This includes Admitted Waves Day, graduations, new student orientation, and other large scale events. Office Operations:Process vendor payments, credit card payments, recharge forms, and reconciliations; manage files; formulate and maintain spreadsheets, department databases; interface with departments and outside vendors; coordinate meetings; review incoming mail and draft correspondence; etc.) Perform other duties as assigned. Expected Pay Range: $25.96 - $28.84 per hour The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
