Primary Responsibilities

  • Operates vehicle in accordance with Zalk Josephs Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
  • Deliver structural steel and miscellaneous items to different job sites.
  • Maintain good communication with staff regarding schedule and condition of vehicle.
  • Remain flexible for unscheduled loads throughout the week (8-40 hours per week).
  • Fuel vehicle as needed and provide gas receipts to the Manager or appropriate staff for processing.
  • Present self in a professional, courteous, and businesslike manner to customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
