This is a great opportunity for someone who has minor buying experience (highly preferred for someone coming from a food & beverage industry experience) that wants to grow into the traditional Buyer. The ideal person would be hungry for growth, independent, and has a great presentation for culture fit.

(Position Details)

Title Buyer

Pay $25/hr. - $29/hr. ($52k/yr. - $60k/yr.) - all depending on relevant qualifications, industry, and tenure

Schedule Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST)

Location Kent, WA (100% Onsite)

(Responsibilities)

Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other supplies.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and quality standards.- not a must have

Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Monitor inventory levels and provide analysis and recommendations to optimize stock levels.

Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, or quality concerns.

Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.

Knowing where to place raw materials for inventory on hand.

Monitoring levels of supply.

(Qualifications)

+ 1-3 years of purchasing experience.

+ Previous experience working in a Food & Beverage industry is a huge plus.

+ Any prior procurement software experience is a plus (ERP/MRP).

+ Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.

+ Self-starter and self-proficient.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
