We are seeking an experienced hands-on Senior Accountant who will be responsible for daily accounting, month-end close processes, financial reporting review, and other ad-hoc special projects. Success in this role requires attention to detail with excellent collaboration and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers rewarding challenges. Responsibilities Performs month-end close activities, including but not limited to, recurring journal entries, prepaid amortization, accrual journal entries Complete account reconciliations for several general ledger balances including cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, leases, inventory, and other current assets. Generate and review financial reports to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries and financial data. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Identify process and systems related opportunities within the general ledger accounting function and lead implementation of changes to drive scalability, efficiency, and productivity Administer travel and expense reimbursement and Credit card within Brex Empower Work closely with the AP team to reconcile and initiate lease payments, ensuring they are processed completely, accurately, and timely Proactively assists in identifying and implementing improvements in both manual and IT-dependent accounting and reporting processes Perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting analysis to arrive at a proposal of accounting treatment Work independently and cross-functionally with teams across the organization to take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls, and provide support on special requests when necessary Assist with external and internal auditor requests for supporting documentation during annual audits. Other ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting with 5+ years related experience Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis techniques Ability to evaluate and develop logical solutions to accounting issues Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills Prior audit experience Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented, requiring limited supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change Experience in the medical industry is a plus Bonus Experience Experience in the medical or tech industry is a plus Experience working with Sage's Intacct, Brex Empower, and LeaseQuery is a plus Why Join Us?
