Location: Remote The Data and Reporting Consultant supports clients by collecting and analyzing data and building reports, dashboards, or models to provide outputs that satisfy the needs of end users. (S)He may work in collaboration with a Business Analyst in defining client information and data visualization needs. The Data and Reporting Consultant utilizes software to collect disaggregated data potentially from multiple sources, and organizes and formats it based on requirements, to generate outputs on its own or that can be loaded into software tools or models for further processing. Responsibilities Work with clients to understand their business goals and challenges and provide expert advice on data-related strategies and solutions and offering recommendations to improve overall data management and utilization. Participate in design sessions to capture requirements and data for report development. Translate business requirements into report objects developed to tailor the needs of executive and functional users, as applicable. Design, develop, and implement ad-hoc queries, reports and visualizations using various reporting/database tools to support client research, financial, and executive initiatives. Develop and enable simple reporting solutions or data exports from Investran and eFront to interact with other client solutions, facilitate data transfers, and feed excel models. Develop and support strategies for client’s warehouse implementation, and data acquisitions. Stay updated on Private Equity and Real Estate industry trends and best practices.

Position Requirements

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Science or Engineering. (MIS degree is a plus) Proficiency with reporting and analytic tools (Power BI, SSRS) Highly Proficient/Expert in Microsoft Excel Experience 7+ years of experience in report writing and financial analysis/modeling. Understanding of professional services delivery process. Knowledgeable of Investran, eFront or other fund accounting solutions and its database structure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Act as a thought leader (writing, presenting, collaborating, etc.) Knowledge of the Private Equity and Real Estate industries. Strong client facing, communication, and collaboration skills. Interested in helping to grow and shape a business. Team player who brings energy and a positive attitude to work every day. Willing to travel when needed to meet clients (less than 25%).
