Patient Enrollment Associate, Guidance & Patient Support
Contract, 6+ months with possibility to go up to 24 months.

We discovered and developed the first medicines to treat the underlying cause of cystic fibrosis (CF), a rare, life-threatening genetic disease. In addition to clinical development programs in CF, Vertex has more than a dozen ongoing research programs focused on the underlying mechanisms of other serious diseases.
We are recruiting for Patient Enrollment Associates to join an existing Patient Enrollment Team. Patient Enrollment Associates will be fully trained on process, program eligibility criteria, and systems associated with the responsibilities described below:
Key Responsibilities:
- Verifies patient enrollment and consent forms and confirms patient eligibility to enroll in the Vertex Guidance & Patient Support (GPS) Program
- Creates and maintains patient and healthcare provider accounts for the GPS Patient Support Team
- Reviews incoming documents received via electronic fax, online portal, email, and postal mail, and processing documents according to enrollment procedures outlined in work instruction(s)
- Processes patient health information and insurance plan details; responds to requests from Patient Support Team
- Investigates and resolves inconsistencies on enrollment related documents
- Requests further information for documents that are considered incomplete
- Identifies and removes unnecessary data or combines data from multiple sources as needed
- Enters information from handwritten or electronic documents; carefully deciphers messy or faded handwriting and low-quality documents or recordings
- Assists with daily reconciliation of patient accounts
- Assists with efforts to streamline and improve processes and update work instruction documents
- Assists with checking Guidance and Patient Supports general voicemail and assigns voicemails to associated Patient Support Specialists
- Supports ad hoc project related assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- High attention to detail
- Data entry skills with impeccable accuracy, quality, and speed
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Is dependable and able to work both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to approach a high volume of requests with a positive attitude and an ability to resolve the issue at hand
- Experience with MS Office suite
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is a plus
$25-$27
