The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership in support of the controller for the U.S. handheld operations accounting functions, with a focus on plant metrics, reporting, variances, cost, budgets, and overall performance

What You Need to Know:

  • Support the controller in overseeing daily operations of the finance department
  • Financial planning and budgeting for the U.S. handheld business.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records and reconciliations
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Assist in month end closing processes
  • Interact with internal and external parties as needed for finance and audit related activities.
  • Prepare and explain financial data to both internal and external parties as needed.
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common injuries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and /or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
