We are seeking a highly experienced PLC Engineer to join our team in Peabody, MA. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive PLC-controlled baggage handling systems, including hardware selection, PLC programming, and integration.
- Configure and program managed switches, including VLAN setup, port access control, security patching, redundancy implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with integrated systems promptly and systematically.
- Provide technical support and assistance to field engineers during system installation and commissioning.
- Document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs and system configurations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in PLC programming and automation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in PLC programming
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA systems and programming
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation systems
- Proficiency with Ladder Logic programming a plus
- Experience with Siemens products and toolsets a plus
- Ability to travel up to 50% to client sites for system installations and support
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain SSI level clearance is required
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
