Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking a highly experienced PLC Engineer with expertise in designing and programming complete PLC systems from inception to execution, particularly in aviation security.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • 7-10 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation design

  • Proficiency in PLC protocols, particularly Profinet

  • Proficiency in PLC languages listed in the IEC 61131-3 standard, particularly ladder logic

  • Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet and Modbus

  • Ability to interpret and follow electrical and mechanical schematics accurately

  • Proven experience designing and implementing full-scale automation systems

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site installations and support

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Siemens products and toolsets

  • Proficiency in HMI/SCADA systems and programming

  • Experience performing in-field installations and integrations

  • Competence with managed switches and general network topology knowledge

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems

  • Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation

  • Familiarity with Industry

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive PLC-controlled baggage handling systems, including hardware selection, plc programming, and integration.

  • Configure and program managed switches including VLAN setup, port access control, security patching, redundancy implementation, and performance monitoring.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with integrated systems promptly.

  • Provide technical support during system installation and commissioning.

  • Document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs and system configurations.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in PLC programming.



Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
