Negotiates best timeline, price, and volume of materials to meet company standards, protect company from fluctuation in the market, and support forecast, sold jobs, and orders.Duties/Responsibilities:Develops effective Supply Chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction and best value solution. Communicates and negotiates with suppliers and vendors to procure the best value solution of price, availability, and quality attributes. Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measures performance through agreed upon KPI's (Key performance Indicators). Plans, Manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand. Works with plants, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers. Manages inventory levels and costs of consumables and materials to maximize inventory turns by developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices.Works with transportation companies to set most cost-effective solution. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.Education and Experience:Required: High School Diploma, Bachelors Degree and/or 5+ years of industry supply chain/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment Preferred: Master's Degree and/or 10+ years of industry supply chain/purchasing experience.
