BMD Requirements Engineer

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a BMD Requirements Engineer . This opportunity will be in Dahlgren, VA . The Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Requirements Engineering is in support of NSWC DD V Department. Job Description: Provide support to NSWC DD V Department in the development, review and adjudication of operational, tactical and engineering requirements in support of BMD capability introduction in support of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIMD). The ideal candidate will have experience in: Aegis Weapon System (AWS) operation and employment Kill Chain analysis related to Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Systems Requirements Review (SRR) process Integration of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) functionality with the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Analysis of warfighting requirements and integration of ballistic missile defense requirements with other ship mission requirements. Qualifications: Must have at least a bachelor’s degree and 20 years of relevant experience. Desired Qualifications: Masters Degree, preferred. Security Requirements: Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance. Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel- less than 10% If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements: Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
