Employee Relations Specialist

The Employee Relations specialist plays a key role in maintaining positive employee relations, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations:
- Proactively address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on workplace concerns.
Investigations:
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or alleged policy violations.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Partner with HR Business Partners as needed.
Performance Improvement:
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers in addressing performance issues, including initiative the corrective action process when appropriate.
Policy Implementation:
- Assist in informing and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure consistent application and understanding of policies throughout the organization.
Conflict Resolution
- Mediate disputes and conflicts between employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide guidance to managers on handling employee relations issues.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee relations or a similar HR role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
- Effective conflict resolution and mediation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient with HR Acuity a plus.
