Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors. Identify process improvements and implement best practices. Provide financial analysis to support management decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Assist in cash flow management and projections. Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations. Monitor and analyze financial data for discrepancies and variances. Participate in financial planning and strategy discussions. Mentor and train junior accounting staff. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning. Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment (but not mandatory). Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Proficient in Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Important to have a sense of urgency and ability to work in a high volume environment Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
