Mentor and train one or more junior-level Team Members. Productively interact with Client representatives and SME subcontractors. Help to enhance the visibility of SME’s expertise by participating in professional organizations outside of regular employment. Work in varied environments as dictated by the project, including sitting and using a computer for prolonged periods, working in confined spaces and at heights greater than six feet, and potentially in a laboratory environment or in the field. Travel locally and out-of-area; a valid driver’s license (good driving record) and passport are required, with possible limited international travel. Conduct additional duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred. Eight plus years of technical design experience with structural design of concrete, masonry, steel, wood elements and structures. PE license. Experience with assessment and design of prestressed concrete elements/structures. Working knowledge of the latest AISC-360, ASCE-7, ACI-318, and other industry standards. Experience using industry standard design software, such as STAAD, RISA, IES, or equivalent. Good organizational, written and oral communication skills. Motivated self-starter and able to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to identify and solve problems, and work well in a team environment.
