Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer that will be responsible for senior-level software development support for their assigned software development products.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a developer on an associated software product scrum team.
  • Support resolution of assigned program problem reports (PPRs).
  • Develop unit tests for development assignments and support integration testing efforts.
  • Execute the software engineering tasks necessary to maintain and make changes to program baseline architectures.
  • Provide senior-level development guidance and input to junior software developers.
  • Perform as a technical mentor for members of the associated product teams.
  • Support cyber range capability assessments, evaluations, and technology prototypes.
  • Provide remote site support for setup, configuration, and delivery activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant topics.
  • Ten (10) years of related, proven experience performing similar duties.
  • High-level knowledge of: software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, bash scripting, Python scripting, Java, and C/C++ development.
  • Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL
  • Ability and experience effectively communicating technical and programmatic issues.
  • Experience with project logistics and working with controlled engineering baselines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN and Git.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance eligibility
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of related, proven experience performing similar duties.
  • Experience working with platform development, end-users (operators), and system developers.
  • Experience developing user simulators, which generate network and application traffic to simulate realistic users.
  • Experience with complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and services such as AD, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.
  • Knowledge of software defined networking and network function virtualization.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP, etc.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as: VMWare, Docker, HyperV, Xen, Kubernetes, etc
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
