Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and oversee staff working on varied tasks (including subconsultant), manage and direct project execution including adherence to scopes, budgets, schedules and implementing quality control procedures.
- Possess positive attitude and strong leadership skills.
- Mentoring and development of staff.
- Ability to handle pressure and work under tight deadlines.
- Client communication and budget tracking.
- Coordination and communication with state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of local and state design and construction standards and procedures.
- Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Creates feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental. impact studies and assembling data.
- Possess strong professional work ethic.
- Works independently and with a design and construction team.
- Exhibit effective communication skills with project team, agencies, and clients.
- Knowledge of design of roadway including conceptual, preliminary and detailed design work.
Qualifications
- Degree Required: B.S. Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer license in Indiana
- 10+ years of experience in roadway engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in roadway project management (can be concurrent with engineering experience).
- Experience working with both local municipalities and INDOT is a plus but not a requirement.
- Effective and professional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with sound foundation in civil engineering techniques and skills, logical application, and attention to detail
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
