Automotive Upgrade Specialist

Sheehy Ford Lincoln of Richmond is a Top Workplace, and we are currently looking for Upgrade Specialists to join our winning team As the Upgrade Specialist, you will be responsible for vehicle acquisition and customer vehicle upgrades while providing excellent customer service in the service lane. While interacting with both sales and service customers, the successful candidate will utilize our data mining system to identify opportunities and work with sales managers to achieve profit targets and customer satisfaction. You don't need to have automotive sales experience to be successful in this role, you should have experience providing exceptional customer service, and any previous business development experience is always a plus.
Responsibilities
- Utilize existing customer base with data mining tools to identify opportunities for vehicle upgrades
- Work with the Used Car Manager to identify current vehicle needs
- Use strong decision-making and active listening skills to think progressively about customer needs and service
- Be outgoing, friendly, energetic, and professional with excellent customer service, attentiveness, and follow-up skills
- Meet and greet customers in the service drive to present Cash Offers for their vehicles
- Upload vehicles and customer information into our appraisal software
- Educate customers on the options available through Vehicle Exchange
- Demonstrating knowledge and enthusiasm for vehicles
- Assist the used car manager with appraisal/pricing
- Follow up with each opportunity for future considerations
- Meet with the management team regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis
- Be a liaison to customers while their car is being serviced
- Deliver vehicles to customers while confirming customers understanding of vehicle features and warranties to build customer relationships and dealership loyalty
- Sales experience or experience in customer service such as retail, restaurant, call center setting, etc., is preferred but not required (sales training provided)
- Ability to learn data mining tools and software (eLeads experience a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand timeliness and organization
- A great attitude and the ability to accept coaching
- Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships
- Driven, competitive, and willing to work in a team environment
- Must be authorized to work in the USA and have a valid driver's license
- Able to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug screen
