This is an externally focused role, working closely with customers in the field to ensure that TN can sheet performs at expected levels. This role may be based at the plant, or in a travel corridor to support customers in their facilities, while interacting frequently with the TN Operations, one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world.Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. The facility has been located at the Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for 100 years and continues to thrive and grow.The Customer Product Quality Assurance Coordinator (CPQA) will guide and monitor customer qualifications, measure metal and customer plant performance, and measure customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis. The CPQA will manage customer complaints, validation of complaint with samples or online, and interact with the mill and central technical resources to provide information, samples, and present the mill corrective actions to the customer as applicable. Maintain ongoing contact, visit customer plants, and develop a working relationship with key customer contacts. Review all customer complaints on assigned customers product, and issue complaints to the plant to initiate claims process, Corrective Action, and product improvement. Act as the Voice of the Customer to the TN plant for Can Sheet Products, indicating customer satisfaction, and improvement needs. Provide input to Arconic development resources and TN plant on customer development and future needs. QualificationsBasic Qualifications 5+ Experience in the metals industry with good working knowledge of slitting, coiling, surface quality, and forming. Business experience in direct contact with customers or suppliers, or internal customers and suppliers. Business experience in participating in Quality Control systems, and technical aptitude to apply measurements and statistical approach to metal and coil attributes, determining root cause of customer plant issues. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or related field from an accredited institution at time of hire or Associates with related experience. 5+ years in Metals industry, preferably in aluminum finishing. Experience with rolling operations Experience in aluminum manufacturing Experience with lean manufacturing principles Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Possess effective quality problem solving skills to the root cause and the ability to drive continuous improvement Knowledge of and ability to apply quality systems, basic statistical techniques, metrology, inspection and test methods, and experience working within a quality system such as ISO 9001.
