Job Summary: The Senior Structural Engineer coordinates closely with the Piping, Mechanical, Vessel and Electrical groups to design foundations, structures and pipe racks required to support process equipment, process piping, instrumentation and power cable trays, and electrical equipment. Work will also include the design of superstructures and foundations for platforms, walkways and other elevated structures. The Senior Structural Engineer reports to the Structural Discipline Manager. Completed technical work is reviewed by senior management before being presented to the client. Qualifications: 5+ or more years experience in an engineering role Working knowledge of AISC and ACI design codes An interest and aptitude in the design of steel and concrete structures Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs Proficient in AutoCAD Knowledge of Structural modelling software Structural analysis modeling Understanding of AutoCAD and Revit programs is a plus Understanding of structural analysis programs Excellent communication and writing skills Attention to detail, highly organized and performance of self-checking of work Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on concrete, steel and foundation design coursework, advanced degree a plus P.E. certification required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
