Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and lead daily activities to improve Weld shop issues concerning Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost (Reduction). Create clear concise technical reports for Executive Management weekly regarding Body Accuracy, Gap/Flush, Water Leaks, etc. Perform part gauging (utilizing CMM, Faro Arm/ Laser tracker, etc.) for both Welding Parts and GA trim parts and the relationship between the two to help resolve issues. Responsible for maintaining Weld shop (& GA shop) FTTQ and DPU by adjusting BC Line fitting equipment, improving Body or Moving Part Accuracy. Create & maintain TS16949 documentation such as Control Plans, PFMEA’s, & Process Flow Maps. Responsible for investigating and improving customer issues such as body fits, squeak and rattle issues, etc. Lead Cross Functional Teams and other Problem Solving Teams for difficult plant wide issues. Qualifications and Job Requirements Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering along two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the welding field preferably in the automotive industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Teamwork oriented and flexible. Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with effective follow up, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrate good general technical background, including data collection, analysis and problem solving skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions. Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access. Experience with SAP system preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
