Job DescriptionJob Description

Estimator Job Duties:

Gathers proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents from internet and other sources

Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors

Assists in the preparation for and set up of awarded projects.

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintains technical knowledge spending time both with field employees and association offered schools.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

Current estimating experience is preferred, but not as important as a strong work ethic, organizational skill, resourcefulness, the ability to learn and maintain processes, and the right attitude.

Attends pre-bid and pre-job meetings when necessary

A good driving record is required. Candidate with an active DUI (10 years), reckless driving, excessive speed violations or at fault wrecks need not apply regardless of skill level

We primarily do the removal and installation of striping, pavement markings, raised and recessed pavement markers and roadside signs throughout the State of California.
