Who are we?

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) is the international testing agency for the chiropractic profession. The NBCE develops, administers, and scores standardized exams that assess knowledge, higher-level cognitive abilities, and problem-solving in various basic science and clinical science subjects.

What do we do?

NBCE exams offer assurance to the general public that a chiropractor, regardless of what school they attended or where they were licensed, has demonstrated a baseline of knowledge as well as ability in diagnosis, diagnostic imaging, principles of chiropractic, associated clinical sciences, and chiropractic practice. Candidates typically take NBCE exams before graduating from chiropractic college. Exam scores are made available to licensing authorities within and outside the United States. In the U.S., all 50 states either accept or require candidates to pass Parts I, II, III, and IV for licensure.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Help Desk Technician provides first-level support for IT-related issues, ensures the smooth operation of IT services, and maintains IT equipment. The technician will manage service desk tickets, offer prompt and excellent customer service, organize IT equipment, and assist the IT team with routine tasks and projects as needed. A strong desire to learn and take initiative is highly valued in this role.

OVERVIEW OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

HELP DESK OPERATIONS:

•Install, configure, and maintain computer peripherals.

•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and other technical issues for staff.

•Install, remove, and replace workstation computers.

•Assist users with their daily computer-oriented tasks, performing basic troubleshooting and support for end user issues.

•Manage a workflow of helpdesk tickets in a timely fashion.

GENERAL IT SUPPORT TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Apply patches and updates to end user's computers for the operating system, antivirus/security software, and other installed software.

•Support and maintain software and computer equipment (including printers, monitors, KVM switches, keyboards, etc.)

•Assist with end user training on installed software.

•Setup and tear down A/V and computer equipment for internal meetings.

•Complete both short-and long-term projects, as assigned.

•Perform light scripting and programming as needed for internal applications.

•Create and maintain IT documentation.

•Assist in creating training documentation and delivering training.

ORGANIZING IT EQUIPMENT:

•Keep inventory of IT equipment, ensuring proper organization and storage.

•Assist in the procurement and the set-up of new IT equipment as needed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

•Provide excellent and prompt customer service to all staff members.

•Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.

•Demonstrate use of various technology and equipment including computers, printers, scanners, and more.

Requirements

Education & Experience

•High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six months of IT help desk experience or some college IT coursework, above the basics, such as database, scripting, or Unix, and customer service experience is required. An IT-related associate's degree is preferred.

•Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MTA) are a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

•Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent typing and keyboarding skills.

•Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure.

•Basic knowledge of networking concepts.

•Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

•Strong documentation skills.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Organized and detail oriented.

•Knowledge of general office equipment and A/V equipment such as cameras and audio equipment.

•Basic knowledge of Mac OS is useful.

•Strong skills in the usage of various software applications.

•Ability to work beyond regular office hours if needed.

•Interaction with all end users and staff must be handled with diplomacy and tact.

•Strong desire to learn and take initiative in solving problems and improving processes.

•Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

•Valid Colorado driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
