Summary: The Product Engineer provides primary customer contact for New Product Launch (NPL) activities. Responsible for all manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to ensure that products are assembled to customer expectations. Responsibilities: Leads manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change order Actively participates in new customer development and new business development Analyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues Performs product level FMEAs as required Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities Performs review of engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability Participates in evaluating and qualifying new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment Leads internal and external corrective action plans Complies and follow all company policies and procedures Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Other information: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required Effective organization and prioritization skills Demonstrate high attention to detail Ability to work with diverse groups Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism.
