Job Summary and Qualifications

Treatment coordination consist of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge planning and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups, and crisis assessment and intervention. The Treatment Coordinator will assist in conducting process and educational therapeutic groups as indicated in the programming schedule. Also serves as a resource person to the hospital staff, and as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team within the Psychiatric Treatment Center. LCSW, LMHC or LMFT required.

Schedule: PRN / Per Diem / As Needed

Location: HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, Outpatient Behavioral Health: 1020 Titan Court, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547

What qualifications you will need:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW), or Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling required
  • One of the following Florida licenses is required:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Acute care experience preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to communicate therapeutic interactions
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation
  • Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
  • Basic computer skills
