Job Summary and Qualifications

Adult/Adolescent intensive outpatient program licensed therapist (Treatment Coordinator II)

Schedule: PRN / Per Diem / As Needed. Program hours vary between 8am-7pm M-F. PRN hours may vary based upon therapist's availability and program need. For example, therapist may work 1-5 shifts (5-8 hours each shift) per week.

The therapist for this program will be part of a dynamic team of clinicians providing evidence-based treatment in an outpatient setting. Duties include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and group/individual psychotherapy for adults and/or adolescents, experiencing mental health issues impacting their daily life at work, in school, with family, and/or with the legal system. The therapist in this position will also conduct crisis assessments for their active client population and provide crisis intervention as appropriate.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW), or Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling required
  • One of the following Florida licenses is required:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Acute care experience preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to communicate therapeutic interactions
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation
  • Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
  • Basic computer skills
