Reinsurance Technical Accounting process includes accounting for reinsurance premiums, commissions, claims, reserves, deposits, reinstatements etc. for various types of assumed and retro contracts.The team also handles the cash disbursements and cash receipts allocation of technical entries. The Assumed teams are responsible for handling and input of technical accounting information received from cedants/brokers, while the ceded team takes the information input by the assumed team and then generates the ceded booking statements that are then entered into the system and sent out to the retrocession Aires. The person working as a senior analyst is responsible for resolving any issues that may arise while processing the accounts; they have the responsibility to ensure that the numbers entered the sub-system are correct and are settled in a timely manner. They also need to ensure that the proper backups and calculations are available for auditors as and when required. The person required for the role should be a Graduate/Postgraduate – B. Com / M. Com / MBA - Finance. Work experience in a Reinsurance / international work environment (preferably insurance/reinsurance processes) will be preferred. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Processing accounting transactions and related cash activity for assigned brokers and ceding companies within a team environment. Analyzing the premium and loss histories of the treaty business. ·

Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients. ·

Analysis, booking and reconciliation of various reinsurance accounts, including those with adjustable features such as commissions and premium adjustments. ·

Handling of cash activity for assigned clients including application, collection, and accounts payable. ·

Assist as necessary in the monthly & quarterly closing process. ·

Work closely with other internal departments on special projects as and when required.

You will report to AM/DM - Reinsurance We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: ·

Sound hands-on experience in catastrophe risk modelling, risk aggregation and reporting activities.

·

Demonstrated ability in analysis and reporting of portfolio catastrophe risk, business, and regulatory reporting.

·

Demonstrated ability to organize and analyze data and communicate the insights effectively.

·

Demonstrate experience in data analysis and reporting initiatives focused on enhancing data quality, processes, and reporting capabilities.

·

Results-oriented and collaborative team player.

·

Effective communication skills including the ability to explain complex problems and communicate proposals for improvements. Desired Skills and Abilities: ·

Ability to multitask and manage complex activities.

·

Effective knowledge and hands-on experience of MS SQL, Access, and Excel applications.

·

Solid understanding of key insurance product offerings, underwriting, (re)insurance concepts

and (in)reinsurance business processes.

·

Exposure and experience in advanced EXCEL functionalities (Macros/ VBA coding) and process automation initiatives are desirable.

·

Understanding of all enterprise risk management principles, and achievement of relevant industry certifications is a plus.

·

Catastrophe risk modelling and reporting for (in)reinsurance operations.

·

Catastrophe risk aggregation and risk management.

·

Experience/exposure in insurance underwriting support.

·
