Position Summary: The Patient Service Representative Lead assists in coordinating staffing and activities for the Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, and Oral Surgery departments. The lead provides leadership and expertise in all aspects of service and performs as a Patient Service Representative in all areas.Qualifications:Educational Requirements Education Level Concentration/MajorAssociate's Degree Related Field or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification through NAHAM OrLicensure/Certification Requirements Licenses/Certifications Licenses/Certification Details Time FrameCertified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Or Associate's Degree related field Upon HireSuccessful completion of medical terminology. Completion of Foundations of Leadership/Leadership HR series. within 1 YearEssential Functions: Performs essential job functions of Patient Services Representative 1, 11, and 111Assists in coordination of staffing and activitiesAssists leadership with orientation and training of new and existing staffActs as a role model and supports management initiate e for the departments. Assumes leadership role in the absence of the supervisor/managerAssists in resolving work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issuesAssists in establishing daily work and desk assignments to ensure staffing coverage and good customer serviceEstablishes standards for reducing registration errors, Review with staff on a regular basis registration errors and initiative necessary training to reduce errors.Works department WQsWorks daily as a Patient Service Representative in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Oral Surgery, or SMOB Central Check-In in the areas where neededAssists in training new staff in departments and Central Check-InAttends SME Meetings and communicated with StaffAssists in rounding on PSR staffAssists SMOB PSR supervisors in staff assignments and rotation to adequately cover all departments and Central Check-InWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
