As a Consumer Outbound Lending Consultant, what starts as a simple connection will have a lasting impact on our member's lives

You'll be:

  • Providing superior member service as defined in the credit union vision, mission and values.
  • Examining, evaluating and authorizing independent judgment to grant/recommend approval or denial of loan application for consumer loans, home equity lines of credit, or credit card accounts.
  • Initiating outreach to members to build relationships by interviewing applicants to anticipate needs and explaining new, improved, or existing Dupaco products and services to bring business to Dupaco.
  • Meeting or exceeding the minimum standards of member plan participation of GAP/DPW, MBP, Loan Payment Protection, etc. as set by the credit union in order to achieve individual, department, and corporate goals.
  • Successfully demonstrating effective selling skills and behaviors.
  • Maintaining a general understanding of Dupaco's consumer loan policies and serve as a resource for other lenders throughout the credit union for lending solutions, appropriate structuring of loans, etc.
  • Analyzing application financial status, credit and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan.
  • Exhibiting a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Compiling loan package and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms.
  • Reviewing, processing and ensuring direct loan agreements and documentation are complete, accurate, and prepared according to policy for scanning.
  • Determining eligibility for membership and establish new member accounts that lead to long-term relationships.
  • Initiating Money Makeovers and Credit History Lessons that would benefit members.
You'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years consumer lending or related experience.
  • Ability to analyze situations, exercise judgement, and make educated decisions.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-starter with high energy and motivation.
  • Positive energy, openness to coaching and feedback.
