M&A Director

We are assisting a fast growth, Private Equity backed firm with their search for an M&A Director. Reporting to the Head of M&A, this position will execute on the acquisition strategy by ensuring identified dental practices targets fulfill the strategic growth criteria, executing on due diligence and financial analysis of multiple projects simultaneously, and managing transactions to timely closings. The successful M&A Director will add value through conducting thorough financial and business analysis, filtering which transactions move to LOI and closing, and presenting the M&A pipeline and transaction recommendations to the Investment Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of prospective acquisition targets and ensure execution at a pace to achieve annual acquired EBITDA targets
- Lead acquisition due diligence and key financial analysis
- Own and ensure the successful completion of Quality of Earnings reports in coordination with third-party accounting firms
- Partner with legal counsel during all phases of the contract negotiation process
- Contribute to weekly updates with the Investment Committee to provide detailed updates on activities, current pipeline and acquisition rationale
- Hold weekly meetings with the Executive Acquisition Committee to provide detailed updates on activities, current pipeline and thesis generation / market mapping
- Work closely with Company's functional leads during due diligence to create pro formas and integration plans
- Complete valuation models and prepare board-level presentation materials for investment decisions
- Manage multiple active opportunities simultaneously
- Bachelor's Degree required with Advanced Degrees considered favorably
- At least four years of M&A experience, ideally from transaction services or lead advisory
- Accomplished track record of M&A transaction process management
- Experience building financial models and qualifying target's growth potential
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating proficiency with diverse and often C-suite audiences
- Willingness to work outside regular business hours
- Ability to travel some as needed
