Job Description: Summary

You will be a critical member of the Applied Perception Science Team within the AR and VR display systems teams. The team you are joining is responsible for deriving the perceptual requirements and tradespace analyses for future VR and VR display systems. As the Operations and Program Manager, you will assess the incoming requests, triage, plan the workflow, report status and manage the projects from end to end.

Key Responsibilities:

Empower perceptual science researchers to execute their road maps by providing the structure to organize, track & communicate project progress and support the on-going execution against this structure. This includes managing a team of support personnel (RA's and user study managers), prioritizing their bandwidth across a diverse range of research programs and regular reporting to xFn partners and stakeholders.

Create the conditions where a team can execute against a plan as effectively as possible. Support leads in balancing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resourcing. This includes improving and maintain resource and space management, budget, procurement, process and communication based on the needs of team leads

Leverage operational expertise to efficiently interact with other *** teams, such as IT, RTS, NIS, legal, business development, EHS, URS, and comms in order to accelerate and streamline processes being developed.

Collaborate with teams across RL including URS, HW/SW engineering, vendor management, IT, legal, operations, IP security, physical security, EHS, employment law, sourcing & procurement, lab space planning, event management, and facilities to build impactful relationships, serve as a dependable point of contact, and ensure their and our team's needs are met.

Represent resourcing constraints and timeline risks in planning and status updates. Effectively escalating or directly resolving resourcing issues with individual researchers and team leads.

Support empirical data collection with human subjects, in the lab, when necessary. This includes set-up, implementation and data collection for users studies. Working with *** Technologies staff to ensure that the study equipment set up and the study conduct follows all applicable safety plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in a scientific/engineering discipline
3+ years of Project/Program Management experience.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience utilizing Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or other program management tools
Experience understanding and communicating technical information to non-experts.
Experience coordinating and maintaining schedules across multiple teams, managing shared resources, and coordinating stakeholders.
Experience managing people/direct reports

Additional Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in operations and program management within a user research organization.
Graduate Degree in scientific (experimental psychology), engineering or related fields
