About the Job.

Why This Job is Important. As an HRIS and Payroll Manager at Nice-Pak, you will be pivotal in managing and maintaining our HRIS system and overseeing payroll operations. This leadership position ensures accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HRIS system, identifying opportunities to maximize technology, streamline processes, and enhance data management efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing and maintaining security protocols, training HR end-users, and providing technical support, making you a key subject matter expert for the entire company.

What You Can Expect In this role, you will:

  • Manage and administer the HRIS system, including configuration, data integrity, and security settings.
  • Serve as the escalation point for payroll and HRIS-related employee inquiries, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Compile and customize analytical data reports for senior executives and the HR team.
  • Provide training and support for HR and payroll teams, creating required documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to identify system improvements and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy requirements, and payroll regulations.
  • Supervise payroll processing operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate records and payroll reporting.
  • Lead special HR and payroll-related projects and initiatives.

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HRIS technologies administration, report development, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and payroll systems, preferably UKG Pro (Ultipro).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to identify the root cause(s) of problems/inefficiencies within HR systems or processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships to influence and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Certification as a Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.

  • Competitive pay commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities. The salary range for this position is $129k - $168k for employment based in NY.
