JOB # 2 **Description**

This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities to achieve individual sales objectives by performing the following duties:

* Cold Calls prospects and supports Pod Leaders and Sales Engineers in prospecting and developing new business.

* Proactively builds and develops a strong customer network to increase sales potential and meet sales goals.

* Owns efficacy of the sales process from start to finish and with a sense of urgency.

* Utilizes CRM to track activity and move business through the pipeline and sales process.

**Job Duties**

Generates new business and leads on an ongoing basis.

Quotes prices, credit terms, and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

Works with customers to create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.

Works to find new sales leads through business directories, client referrals, etc.

Collects sales data to track effectiveness of outreach efforts and changes approach to improve results.

Answers phone calls and emails from current and prospective client about products, installation, pricing, and lead times in a manner that adheres to sales practices and supports clear communication.

Understands and communicates incentive programs/offerings to customers, when appropriate.

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Respectfully takes direction from manager.

**Education & Experience**

Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Language Skills**

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

**Computer Skills**

Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications in Microsoft Office including database, spreadsheet (including pivot tables), report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.

**Reasoning Ability**

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
