A well-established, mid-market electronics company is looking for a seasoned Senior E-commerce Sales Manager to build and lead their dynamic team of E-commerce Sales Managers (ESM). the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in scaling their Amazon e-commerce sales operations by optimizing their sales strategy across various product categories. This position involves strategic planning, team management, and performance monitoring to drive sales growth and achieve their e-commerce objectives.
Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Contribute to strategic planning for sales growth, and help apply our e-commerce sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets which each sales manager. Regularly evaluate and adjust strategies based on market trends, competitive landscape, and performance data.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Find, develop, motivate, and lead our team of E-commerce Sales Managers. Maintain clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and promote professional development opportunities to build a high-performing team. Meet regularly with the sales team both in a group and in individual sessions to train, assist with sales strategies, and hold team members accountable.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor team performance against sales goals and objectives. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and work with the team to implement strategies for increased sales performance and profitability.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of the e-commerce landscape, including market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities, to inform strategic decisions and to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Process Ownership and Innovation: Set and maintain the team's processes and standards. Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and sales growth. Encourage innovation within the team by promoting the exploration of new sales channels, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Financial and Budget Management: Participate in budgeting and financial management for e-commerce sales activities. Assist in optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales targets while maintaining cost efficiency. Participate in forecasting and budget planning for the sales team.
  • Escalation and Issue Resolution: Resolve issues escalated from frontline sales and personnel management. Maintain open lines of communication with senior management, to report on progress, escalate issues, reach resolution on critical initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Amazon selling experience. Vendor Central experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in e-commerce sales management, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of sales professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce landscape, digital marketing strategies, and consumer behavior.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
