Project Engineer III

The Project Engineer III is responsible for assisting the Environmental and Constructions Teams with project management and engineering support. The Project Engineer III will utilize their knowledge to participate in analyzing and documenting data relating to both environmental and construction projects and their associated compliance requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist the Environmental and Construction Teams including the Construction Manager, Project Manager, Quality Control, and Superintendent with job related tasks. Assist with management, execution, and documentation of projects. Assist with completion of daily project reporting including timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance; daily reports. Assist with documenting daily work conditions. Assist with creating and filing project reports including inspection reports; job diaries, photographs, and video logs; and subcontractor reports as needed. Assist Construction and Environmental Superintendent with updates to project schedule. Responsible and accountable for RFP deliverables and responses Maintain effective communication and coordination among all project participants. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS: This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will require coordination with other project-level personnel. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various environmental and construction services. Detailed knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental and construction projects and programs. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Effective oral and technical written communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate complex information to others as well as to present information in front of a group. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and confidentially process and maintain data with accuracy with directions and mentorship Ability to effectively lead projects and work with multi-disciplined teams. Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees, business partners, and clients via written and verbal communication methods. Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others; ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner. Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion. Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or science discipline required Professional Engineer certificate preferred Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects preferred Knowledge of job costing and accounting procedures preferred Knowledge of computer-based construction and scheduling programs preferred Valid state drivers license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Brice Solutions Driving Policy Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of t ose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
