Candidates must be willing to work ON-SITE at least 2-3 days/week in Greenbelt, MD
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for the SEWP program management office's purchase request (PR) process including obtaining quotes, completing NASA Form 1707 (Special Approvals and Affirmations of Requisitions) and GSFC Form 23-59 (Initiator's Acquisition Checklist)
Enter financial data related to income and all expenses
Post and record payments in SEWP Database
Record payments in the RBET System (NASA GSFC proprietary software)
Record payments into financial system and Excel workbooks
Work with Contract Holders to assist with collecting payment information and past due payments
Collaborate with the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) on payments received and other information as requested
Reconcile payments received
Assist with auditing of internal financials and financial annual reporting
Create and/or maintain standard operating procedures related to Financial Team
Collaborate with vendors for Purchase Order (PO's) Invoices, if needed
Create vendor purchase orders (PO's)
Create expenses in SEWP's Internal Tracking System
Create expenses in contractor's financial software
Other duties as assigned
Experience/Skills
2+ years of experience with federal IT procurement
2+ years of Bookkeeping/Data Entry experience
Knowledge of SAP and how the NASA purchase request process works is a plus
Basic IT skills, with strong focus on MS Excel and familiarity with other desktop applications is required
Strong attention to detail is required
Typing skills with accuracy is required
Knowledge of US Government contracting is desirable
Accounting skills and working knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable
Knowledge of FAR and other applicable government regulations preferred, but not required
Education
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's degree is a bonus
Other Requirements
Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
