JOB PURPOSE

We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of human resources within Lumitex. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives. Key responsibilities will include recruiting, training, employee relations, performance management, and benefits & payroll administration. You will work closely with senior management to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee engagement across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. Develop a talent network for hard to fill positions.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Manage the Engineering Co-op Program in partnership with Engineering leadership.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding program to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
Performance Management & Talent Development:
  • Manage the performance management process & systems for all employees.
  • Partner with Sr. Mgmt. to identify and implement talent development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth.
  • Lead the annual Talent Review process. Identify successors for key roles and support the development of Career Paths for High Potential Talent.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
  • Develop initiatives to foster employee engagement, retention, and morale.
  • Organize employee events, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect within the organization.
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues.
  • Guide leaders to promote a positive work environment and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Compensation, Payroll and Benefits Administration:
  • Function as primary administrator for Lumitex's benefit plans, to include running bi-weekly payroll.
  • Administer annual review process, including salary reviews, bonuses, and profit sharing in partnership with Controller.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process in partnership with benefits broker and internal team.
  • Participate in benchmarking studies to ensure the organization's compensation and benefits packages remain competitive.
HR Compliance:
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that the organization's HR practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, with a comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HRIS ( Paylocity strongly preferred ) and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
