Job Summary:

As a member of the Accounting team, this person will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

What you will be doing:
Prepares worksheets and reconciliation for Sales Tax.
Prepares Bank Reconciliations.
Prepares Golf Club monthly entries and runs Financial Statements.
Prepares weekly OPUBCO revenue report. Distributes to the President and Director of Finance prior to distribution.
Prepares credit card reconciliation’s monthly.
Reconciles selected balance sheet accounts monthly. Reviews with Controller.
Reviews and audits sales worksheet. Prepares spreadsheet for variances monthly.
Reviews back-up paperwork for capital account and makes sure the budget code is coded properly. Prepares spreadsheet and reconciles with general ledger.
Reconciles prepaid expenses and prepares journal entry for prepaid expenses monthly.
Prepares monthly entry for Cog Land and Development.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphases on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful) and electronic point of sale systems.
The ability to
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To read and analyze financial reports and respond to common inquiries from internal managers/directors
To effectively present information to top management and regulatory agencies.
To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Occasional heavy lifting (up to 10 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
