This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with a strong background in composite fabrication and process optimization within the aerospace industry. Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead the development and improvement of composite part fabrication processes, tooling, and equipment. This role includes supporting shop floor operations, developing new manufacturing methods, and leading process industrialization efforts for new and existing products. Key Responsibilities: Design and improve manufacturing tools, processes, and systems to optimize production efficiency (30%) Provide shop floor support and drive work center industrialization (30%) Apply statistical methods to control processes and boost productivity (20%) Develop and maintain work instructions, BOMs, and process documentation (20%) Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in aerospace composites (15+ years for non-degreed applicants) Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred Expertise in GD&T, composite fabrication, and process qualification Strong knowledge of thermoset/thermoplastic composites and tooling design Proficient in CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or other 3D CAD tools Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and ERP systems (Epicor or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Boeing and Airbus manufacturing processes/specs Ply flat pattern development and autoclave/oven composite curing knowledge Familiarity with FMEA, TPM, and ergonomic/time study methods Office and shop floor environments with required PPE May involve exposure to noise, production equipment, and physical activity (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods) Ready to take your engineering career to the next level?
