About this opportunity:
To scale our operations and meet the demands of our customers, the Ericsson US 5G Smart Factory is hiring additional Technical Trainers. As a Technical Trainer, you will help us produce some of the most sophisticated radios and basebands on the planet by training and developing operators, creating and maintaining training plans and materials, and serving as a key facilitator of functional expertise, cross-functional communication, and safety. These radios and basebands are the equipment that makes the 5G connection on your phone possible.
The chosen candidate must be comfortable with both high-volume, fast-paced operations, and with training others. Trainers are assigned to work with one of the three functional areas within EFA Operations: Surface Mount Assembly (SMA), Final Assembly (FA), or Warehouse (WH).
What you will do:
- Train, coach, and mentor operators in your assigned functional area (SMA, FA, WH)
- Partner with teams to create and maintain training plans and materials
- Drive operator safety and compliance readiness
- Facilitate expertise, cross-functional communication, and safety
- Evaluate learning impact using both knowledge and functional performance assessments
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of completed and required training
- High school diploma
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret equipment and operational work instructions and process maps
- Tech savviness - able to use a full suite of office and learning technologies, including Microsoft applications and basic Learning Management System administration tasks
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment
- Ability to periodically work flexible shift hours when required
- 2+ years experience with designated functional area in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Familiarity with objective-based training theory and functional assessment settings preferred
- Experience with environmental and safety compliance, ISO competence management, and training governance requirements preferred
